Mom’s Laundry Day

My mom had a washer but no dryer. She would go out even in winter, and hang up the laundry. I don’t know why she didn’t get a dryer. Anyway, my older sister Char did the same thing all of her life. But I did not, and liked my conveniences. Maybe it’s due to me working full time while the kids grew up, and they did not work daily outside the home. Char and Mom were both very socially active in local organizations. Mom was on the Hospital board and other boards in town. Char was on the Holt planning commission for years.
